Electro/Manual Lymphatic Drainage

Posted by on Jun 12, 2013

This advanced treatment is a special Lymphatic Drainage Massage used for building the immune system and detoxifying your body. It is also used to decrease Lymphedema (swelling) and has a “side effect” of being extremely relaxing because the special strokes used in this massage relax the sympathetic nervous system, relieving stress at all levels.

Your lymphatic system is a network of vessels and fluid located just below your skin. You can feel these lymph nodes underneath your chin, your armpits, your groin, and other locations in your body as shown in this illustration.

The lymphatic system is your first line of defense from foreign invaders ( viruses, bacteria. etc. ) It’s main function in the body is to remove toxins from your system by absorbing them into your lymph then transporting them to lymph nodes where the are purified. If the toxin is a bacteria or virus your lymphocytes and natural killer cells will attempt to destroy the invader before it spreads.

Disclaimer :

Electro-Lymphatic Drainage Therapy is not a cure, or a cure all. ELDT  is not used to diagnose or treat diagnosed conditions. ELDT releases bound proteins and toxins to assist the free movement of blood and lymphatic fluid through the body. In this way ELDT aids  relaxation and improves circulation. Improved circulation enhances the body’s natural tendency to eliminate wastes and establish balance.

This machine does not heal. Electro –Lymphatic Drainage Therapy has demonstrated effectiveness in: Improving circulation, reducing edema (swelling), relaxing muscles, reducing infections (bacterial, fungal, viral and micro parasites) in tissues or bones, reducing scar tissue and relieving pain.

Improved circulation and reduction in infections and pathogens can reduce pain but chronic conditions require closely spaced multiple treatments to have a lasting effect on impaired circulation. For maximum effectiveness ELDT should be used in conjunction with a detoxification program prescribed by a health professional.

ELDT is and effective complement to physical therapy, massage, and chiropractic or any professional health care, but is not a replacement for professional diagnosis and treatment. ELDT can assist by improving certain symptoms but symptom improvement is not a cure. ELDT will not interfere with prescribed medicaions or other treatments but should never be used as a replacement for professional health care.
